Both teams defeated their opponents in Matchday 29 and the winner of 2020-21 IPL season will lift the trophy on Friday.
Persepolis defeated Tractor 3-1 in Tehran, courtesy of goals from Mehdi Abdi (two goals) and Ahmad Nourollahi. Peyman Babaei scored the only goal of Tractor.
Sepahan also beat Zob Ahan 2-0, thanks to goals from Omid Nourafkan and Reza Mirzaei.
Persepolis sits top of the table with 64 points. Sepahan is second with 62 points.
Persepolis will win the title for the fifth successive time if it defeats Payakn on Friday. If the team loses to Paykan, Sepahan will claim the title with a win over Esteghlal in Tehran.
