Enemy Disappointed at Military Option against Iran: IRGC Chief

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s great military power has made the enemies realize that the use of the military option is a nonstarter, which is why they have resorted to sanctions and economic pressures, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami said.

In an address to a gathering of IRGC commanders in Kermanshah, Major General Salami said the enemies have become practically disappointed at the military option in dealing with Iran after recognizing the great military power of the Islamic Republic.

The enemies now seek to provoke people through sanctions and economic pressures, but such miscalculations reveal that they have not known the Iranian nation yet, the general added.

He underlined that Iranians would never be deceived by the wrong statements of the enemies, adding, “Iran is the land of awareness, and the seditions of the enemies will backfire.”

In a speech to the Parliament back in September 2020, the IRGC commander said the US is unable to take military action against Iran and warned that reconciliation would not stop the US from trying to harm the country.

General Salami said there is no possibility of a US war against Iran, since the road to military action on the country is closed. “We have prepared the capacities for military victory over the enemy, and have sometimes imposed our tactical resolve on them.”
