TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy said the forces should maintain the highest level of preparedness and be ready for the toughest missions.
In a meeting with a group of the IRGC Navy’s forces in southern Iran on Thursday, Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri said the forces must maintain their preparedness at the highest level, strengthen their spiritual life and get ready for the toughest missions.
The senior commander also said that if the enemy makes any irrational move or act of aggression against the country, it should be confronted decisively and its move must be nipped in the bud.
Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to enhance its level of defense preparedness and strengthen its military capabilities, which are entirely meant for defense.
In February 2018, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called for efforts to maintain and boost Iran’s defense capabilities, hitting back at the enemies for disputing the country’s missile program.
“Without a moment of hesitation, the country must move to acquire whatever is necessary for defense, even if the whole world is opposed to it,” Ayatollah Khamenei said at the time.
