Iran’s Javid Named Continental Futsal C’ship Best Goalscorer
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mehdi Javid from Iran was named as the best goalscorer of the Continental Futsal Championship Thailand.
Team Melli defeated Thailand 5-1 in the tournament’s final match.
Alireza Rafieipour (two goals), Behzad Azimi (two goals) and Farhad Tavakoli scored for the Iran.
Javid won the accolade with seven goals.
The tournament was held in Bangkok, Thailand from July 25 to 30.
The Asia No. 1 is preparing for the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup, where it has been drawn in Group F along with defending champion Argentina, USA, and Serbia.
The 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup will be held in Lithuania from September 12 to October 3.
