Iran Volleyball’s Future Remains Unclear
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national volleyball team’s future is unclear since Vladimir Alekno’s contract with Team Melle has expired.
With just 40 days remaining to the 2021 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, Iran must introduce the new head coach as soon as possible.
Team Melli is in Pool B of the Asian championships along with Thailand, Pakistan and Hong Kong.
The Iran Volleyball Federation will most likely appoint an Iranian coach for the event.
The Asian championship is very important for Iran since the top two teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship as the AVC representatives.
