Iran Ready to Export Military Gear: Defense Minister

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The defense minister of Iran expressed the country’s readiness to export its military products and achievements to other countries.

In comments at a videoconference with the Army Ground Force commanders on Saturday, Brigadier General Amir Hatami said the Islamic Republic has achieved the latest technical know-how in the world-class defense and military sphere with reliance on its local experts and young elites.

Highlighting Iran’s eye-catching advances in the defense industry, particularly in the ground combat sphere, the minister said Tehran is not dependent on any foreign power or country for military progress.

“We are prepared to export the bulk of our advanced products and achievements to other countries,” Hatami stated.

The minister added that Iran’s defense progress in all combat fields, including the missile, air defense and drone industries, has become a thorn in the side of the enemies.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.
