Tokyo 2020: Thrower Papi Wins Iran’s Third Medal

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Javelin thrower Amanollah Papi seized Iran’s third medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games on Saturday.

He claimed a silver medal in the Javelin Throw final in the F57 category with a throw of 49.56 meters.

Hamed Heidari from Azerbaijan won the gold medal with 51.42 meters.

Cicero Valdiran Lins Nobre from Brazil took the bronze, throwing 48.93 meters.

Iranian powerlifters Rouhollah Rostami and Amir Jafari won a gold medal in the -80kg category and a silver in the -65kg respectively.
