He came second by lifting 222kg in the -97kg weight class at the Tokyo International Forum.
The gold medal went to Chinese powerlifter Panpan Yan who lifted 227kg.
Colombian Fabio Torres also won the bronze medal with a 221kg lift.
Powerlifters Rouhollah Rostami and Amir Jafari had previously won a gold and a silver medal, respectively.
