TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Shahram Irani unveiled plans to establish four headquarters in order to optimize the use of human and material resources.

The commander said on Sunday that the Iranian Navy will be setting up four headquarters for the optimal management and employment of the human, technical and hardware resources.

According to Rear Admiral Irani, the opening of the new headquarters will be aimed at safeguarding the Islamic Republic’s maritime and economic boundaries.

“Such defense is important, because the national interests must be protected in the best way under the tough conditions caused by the sanctions and the enemies’ desperate pressures must be nullified,” he stated.

In a decree issued last month, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei appointed Read Admiral Irani as the new chief of the Iranian Navy, and stressed the need for “serious and decent efforts to exploit the capacities” of the Navy, the Army and other military forces for “jihadi and revolutionary progress” of the Armed Forces.

The Leader has also called for plans to boost the capabilities and preparedness of the military forces in all fields and on the basis of the growth and excellence of the human resources.
