In a meeting with the directors of the specialized committees of the Coronavirus Fight National Headquarters on Thursday, Raisi called for the start of the pilot scheme in one of the provinces of the country for the smart management of compliance with the COVID-19 health protocols.

The participants in the meeting also weighed plans for the removal of coronavirus-related restrictions on many businesses within the next weeks under the smart management scheme.

Calling for efforts to accelerate the vaccination of school and university students, Raisi stressed the need to begin administering a third dose of coronavirus vaccine for the healthcare personnel.

The public vaccination program against the coronavirus has gained momentum in Iran in recent weeks with a hike in the imports of vaccine.

The opening of new round-the-clock vaccination centers and inoculation of younger people are seen as the indication that life could soon return to normal for Iranians.
