Iran’s Dalkhani Takes Gold at World Wrestling Championships

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Meysam Dalkhani defeated Georgian Leri Abuladze 5-4 to win a gold medal at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships on Sunday.

Dalkhani defeated his rival in the 63kg final match.

Japanese Kensuke Shimizu and Lenur Temirov from Ukraine claimed two bronze medals.

Mohammad Hadi Saravi and Ali Akbar Yousefi had previously claimed two gold medals for Iran.

A total of 800 wrestlers from 100 countries competed at the Wrestling World Championships from October 2 to 10 in Oslo, Norway.
