Persepolis Defeats Foolad: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team started the 2021-22 Iran Professional League (IPL) with a 3-1 win over Foolad.
Reza Asadi gave the visiting team a lead in the 61st minute with a header and Hamed Pakdel scoed in the 72nd minute, five minutes after he came off the bench.
Luciano Pereira Mendes pulled a goal back from the penalty spot in the 77th minute.
Isa Alekasir scored Persepolis' third goal in the 84th minute.
Persepolis is the IPL defending champion.
