Persepolis Sets Sights on Two Istiklol Defenders
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team has reportedly negotiated with two Istiklol of Tajikistan defenders.
Manuchehr Safarov, 20, plays as right-back in Istiklol and Vahdat Hononov, 21, is a center back in the Tajikistani top-flight football club.
Persepolis is looking to strengthen its defensive line since the Reda want to win Iran’s domestic league for the sixth time in a row.
Local media have reported that Safarov and Hononov will travel to Tehran within the next few days to finalize their contracts with Persepolis.
