World Taekwondo Women's Open: Iran’s Mirhosseini Seizes Bronze

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Melika Mirhosseini won a bronze medal at the World Taekwondo Women's Open Championships in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

She lost to Polina Khan from Russia in the under-73kg semifinals in the golden point period.

Kosar Asaseh had also claimed a bronze for Iran in the under-62kg division.

The World Taekwondo Women's Open Championships were held from November 25 to 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Winning athletes secured 40.0 ranking points while the second and third place winners took 24 and 14.4 ranking points respectively.
