TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned a terrorist attack on a bus carrying civilians in central Mali that has killed at least 31 people.

In a statement on Monday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh expressed sympathy with the Malian government and people over the recent fatal terrorist attack on civilians.

He condemned the terrorist attack and offered his condolences to the families of victims.

At least 31 people have been killed in central Mali after militants attacked a bus carrying civilians to a market.

Unidentified gunmen opened fire and killed the driver, before setting the bus on fire.

Most of the victims were women who were on their way to work at the market.

The attack took place at the heart of the West African nation's Mopti region, which has seen escalating violence in recent months fueled by terrorists.
