Iranian Women Win Six Medals in Kyrgyzstan’s Alysh Grand Prix Final

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian women wrestlers won six medals in the Bayaman Erkinbaev Memorial Senior Alysh Grand Prix in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Sepideh Babaei won a gold medal in the 55kg weight class.

In the 60kg class, Fatemeh Fattahi seized a silver medal.

Mohadeseh Hosseini snatched a gold in the 65kg category.

Reyhaneh Gilani won Iran's third gold medal in the 70kg.

Maryam Ahmadi took a silver in the 75kg. 

And Hanieh Ashouri won a silver medal in the +75kg.

Alysh is a Turkic term for Central Asian folk wrestling or "belt wrestling" regulated by United World Wrestling.
