Issa Alekasir opened the scoring for Persepolis at the Azadi Stadium in the 10th minute. Peyman Babaei equalized the match in the 24th minute. Siamak Nemati was on target in the 55th minute to give the Reds a valuable win on Matchweek 13 of IPL.
Esteghlal suffered a late 1-1 draw against Aluminum in Arak. Kevin Yamga scored from the penalty spot in the 18th minute and Meysam Majidi equalized the match in the injury time.
In Mashhad, Sepahan defeated Padideh 2-0. Farshad Ahmadzadeh scored Sepahan’s first goal in the 69th minute and with one minute remaining Shahriyar Moghanlou scored the second goal.
Esteghlal remained at top of the IPL table with 29 points.
Persepolis and Sepahan are second and third with 28 and 25 points.
