Iran Loses to Poland in Spain Handball Tournament

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against Poland 35-29 in the Spain International Handball Tournament Friday night.

The match was held in Cuenca, Spain. Japan withdrew from the event after several players tested positive for COVID-19.

Iran had lost to Spain 36-22 in the first match of the XLVI International Tournament of Spain, Memorial ‘Domingo Bárcenas’, on Thursday.

The tournament is part of the preparation for the 2022 Asian Men's Handball Championship, which will be held in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia from January 18 to 31.

Iran is in Group B along with Saudi Arabia, Australia and India.
