Esteghlal, Champion of Halfway Point of IPL Season
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal finished in the first place in the halfway point of Iran Professional League (IPL).
On Thursday, the Blues defeated Naft Masjed Soleyman football teaam 3-0 in their away match and remained at top with 35 points.
Amir Hossein Hosseinzadeh scored twice and Kevin Yamga also was on target in the match.
In Tehran, Persepolis edged past Fajr Sepasi courtesy of Mehdi Torabi goal in the 69th minute.
Titleholder Persepolis is second with 32 points.
