Iran Starts 2022 CAFA Women’s Futsal C’ship on High
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s women’s futsal team defeated Uzbekistan 5-2 in the 2022 CAFA Women’s Futsal Championship on Friday.
Sahar Zamani Fard, Fatemeh Papi, Sara Shirbeigi, Fereshteh Karimi and Nesa Ahmadi were on target for Iran at the Dushanbe Indoor Hall.
Iran will also play Tajikistan and Kyrgyz Republic on Saturday and Monday, respectively.
The competition is being held from January 19 to 29 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
Tajikistan, Iran, Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan are taking part in the tournament.
The CAFA Women's Championship is an international futsal competition in Central Asia for the member nations of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA).
