Israel to Pay for Martyrdom of Iranians in Syria, IRGC Says

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps warned the Zionist regime that it will have to pay the price for its criminal attack that led to the martyrdom of two IRGC forces in Syria.

In a statement on Tuesday, the IRGC Public Relations department said the criminal action by the Zionist regime, in which it launched a missile attack on the suburbs of Damascus on Monday, led to martyrdom of two brave IRGC forces serving as defenders of holy religious sites, named Colonel Ehsan Karbalaeepour and Colonel Morteza Saeednejad.

The IRGC emphasized that the Zionist regime will undoubtedly pay the price for such a crime.

Israel has been a key supporter of terrorist groups that have opposed the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad since foreign-backed militancy erupted in Syria in March 2011.

The Monday attack does not mark the first time when the Israeli regime targets the Iranian advisers. In 2018, the Zionist regime killed a number of Iranian advisers during an attack on the T-4 airbase near the city of Homs in western Syria.
