On Sunday, the Iranian girls defeated Kazakhstan 20-19 in the 9th Asian Women's Youth Handball Championship.
Iran defeated Uzbekistan in its opening match on Friday and will play India on Monday.
The competition is being held from March 18 to 25 in Almaty, Kazakhstan under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation.
It also acts as the qualification tournament for the 2022 Women's Youth World Handball Championship, with the top four teams from the championship directly qualifying for the event, to be held in Georgia.
Kazakhstan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Syria and India compete in the competition.
