Iran’s New COVID Cases Continue Downward Trend, Dropping by 560

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The number of new covid-19 cases in Iran dropped by 560 on Monday, to 1,256, according to the Health Ministry, as the number of the infected is taking a downward trend despite new year holidays.

The total number of covid-19 hospitalization reported in Iran increased to 7,142,287 on Monday, among which 6,828,714 patients have recovered or been discharged from hospitals.

283 of patients with covid-19 infection needed hospitalization during the past 24 hours.

Unfortunately, some 52 more Iranians have died from the disease over the past day, bringing the total deaths to 139,662, according to Iran's Health Ministry.

By Monday, 63,764,136 Iranians have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, including 56,573,205 who have taken the second jab, as well as 25,740,457 who have received the third shot.

So far, 48,802,037 Covid-19 diagnostic tests have been performed in the country.
