Iran Earns Second Win in Asian Beach Handball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran earned the second win in the eighth Asian Men’s Beach Handball Championship on Wednesday.

Sports

Team Melli defeated the Philippines 2-0.

Iran had defeated India 2-0 on Tuesday.

The competition is being held in Tehran, Iran, from March 22 to 28. 

The event acts as qualification for the World Championships to be hosted in Greece next June.

Besides host Iran and defending champion Qatar, Oman, Vietnam, the Philippines and India compete in the event.
