Vafaei Becomes First Iranian to Compete at World Snooker Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Hossein Vafaei became the first Iranian player to qualify for the World Snooker Championship.

Sports

He defeated English Lei Peifan 10-9 on the final black of the final qualifier on Wednesday.

Debutant Hossein Vafaei will play Judd Trump in the first round of the World Championship.

The tournament gets underway on Saturday.
