In a message to his Zimbabwean counterpart Emmerson Mnangagwa on Monday, Raisi congratulated the African nation and government on its National Day.
He also expressed hope that the efforts by the Iranian and Zimbabwean officials would result in the enhancement of relations between the two countries in all fields of mutual interest.
Zimbabwe, located in southern Africa with a population of 15 million, celebrates its National Day on April 18, marking the anniversary of independence from the United Kingdom in 1980.
