Sepahan lost to Al-Duhail of Qatar 5-2 in Group D in the final Group D match in the 2022 AFC Champions League.
Michael Olunga scored twice for Al-Duhail in the 10th and 35th minute.
Edmilson Junior also netted a brace in the 41st and 90th.
Ferjani Sassi was on target for the Qatari giant in the 41st minute.
For Sepahan, Mohammad Nejhadmahdi and Soroush Rafiei scored two goals in the 20th and 82nd minutes.
Al-Duhail finished the group stage campaign top of the group on 15 points from five wins and a loss, while Sepahan stays third and therefore is eliminated after picking up seven points from five games.
