IPL: Esteghlal Held by Sepahan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team was held to a 1-1 draw against Sepahan in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Wednesday.
Mohammad Daneshgar was on target for Esteghlal in the sixth minute and Giorgi Gvelesiani equalized the match in the 14th minute in Isfahan.
In Tehran, Persepolis defeated Paykan 2-0. Hamed Pakdel and Ali Nemati scored for Persepolis.
Persepolis was reduced to 10 men in the 32nd minute after Omid Alishah was shown a straight red card.
Esteghlal leads the IPL table with 57 points. Persepolis is second with 53 points.
