Iran’s Men’s Advances to 2022 IWBF Asia Oceania Championships Final
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s men’s wheelchair basketball team booked its place at the final match of the 2022 IWBF Asia Oceania Championships.
Iran defeated Thailand 74-46 in the competition’s semifinals on Friday.
The campaign is being held from May 20-28 in Phuket, Thailand, with this event standing as the zone’s qualifying tournament for the 2022 IWBF World Championships, to be held in November this year.
Iran lost to Australia 47-44 in its first match but earned four successive wins over South Korea 56-50, Japan 62-42, Thailand 83-65, Malaysia 82-36 and the Philippines 86-29 in its following matches.
Iran will play one of Australia and South Korea in the final match on Saturday.
