Persepolis Beats Shahr Khodro, Foolad Thrashes Sepahan: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis and Foolad football teams defeated their rivals in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Sunday.
Persepolis defeated struggling Shahr Khodro 2-1 at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran, thanks to goals from Ali Nemati and Siamak Nemati.
Mohammad Ebrahim Rezazadeh scored Shahr Khodro’s solitary goal with a curling shot out of the area.
Foolad also defeated Sepahan 3-0 in Ahvaz. Ayanda Patosi, Hamid Bouhamdan and Arash Rezavand were on target for Foolad.
Gol Gohar beat Havadar 2-0 in its away match in Tehran.
On Monday, Esteghlal, who has already won the title, will host Naft Masjed Soleyman in Tehran and Paykan play Mes Rafsanjan.
