Iran Loses to Japan in 2022 VNL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against Japan in straight sets (25-20, 25-14, 25-19) in the 2022 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Pool 1 in Brasilia, Brazil Sunday night.
Japan’s Yuji Nishida topscored the match with 17 points and Amin Esmaeilnezhad scored 10 points for Iran.
The Volleyball Nations League was launched as a new competition in 2018 and ever since has been the annual meeting point for the top teams in the world.
The competition began with a Preliminary Round played over six competition weeks, with women and men taking their turns every other week in racing for the spots in the Finals.
