Iran Learns Fate at 2022 FIVB Volleyball World Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran discovered its fate at the new-look FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in Poland and Slovenia.

Iran has been drawn in Pool F along with Argentina, the Netherlands and Egypt.

The competition will be held in Poland and Slovenia from August 26 to September 11.

It was originally planned to be held in Russia, however, Russia was stripped of organization rights after the start of the Russia-Ukraine war.

Team Melli will play Argentina on August 27 and meet Egypt and the Netherlands on August 29 and 31, respectively.

The competition formula will see the 24 competing teams spread across six pools of four, playing in a single round-robin format.

The top two nations in each pool and the four best third-placed teams will qualify for the elimination round – making it much simpler for fans across the globe to keep track of the action.
