Iran Names 16-Man Team for 2022 Volleyball World Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national volleyball team head coach Behrouz Ataei invited 16 players to the National Team for the 2022 Volleyball World Championship.

Iran has been pitted against Argentina, Egypt and the Netherlands in Pool F.

Team Melli will play Argentina on August 27 in its opening match.

Milad Ebadipour, Amir Hossein Esfandiar, Morteza Sharifi, Meysam Salehi, Mohammad Javad Manavinejhad, Shahrooz Homayounfar Manesh, Mohammad Mousavi, Ali Asghar Mojarad, Amir Hossein Toukhteh, Mehdi Jelveh, Amin Esmaeilnezhad, Saber Kazemi, Javad Karimi, Mohammad Taher Vadi, Mohammad Reza Hazratpour and Mohammad Reza Moazen

A total of 24 teams, divided into six pools of four will play in a single round-robin format in the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship.

The top two nations in each pool and the four best third-placed teams will qualify for the elimination round – making it much simpler for fans across the globe to keep track of the action.
