Iranian Karate Practitioners Win Four Medals: ISG 2021
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian karate athletes claimed four medals in the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games on Wednesday.
Iran’s Abolfazl Shahrjerdi lost to Ali Sofuoglu of Turkey in kata final.
Ali Asghar Asiabari of Iran lost to Moroccan Anass Alami in the final match of the Kumite −75 kg.
Iran’s women’s team kata was also defeated against Morocco in the final.
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games are being held in Konya, Turkey, from August 9 to 18, 2022. It is a multinational, multi-sport event that is played between the athletes from the nations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
