Behrouz Ataei’s men have been drawn in Pool F along with Argentina, the Netherlands and Egypt.
The top two teams in each pool and the top four of the third placed teams will qualify for the final round.
The world championship will be held in Poland and Slovenia from August 26 to September 11.
It had originally been planned to be held in Russia but the country was stripped of hosting rights.
