Omonia announced on Tuesday it has completed the signing of Ansarifard for two years with the possibility of renewal for another year.
The Iranian forward was released by AEK, with the two sides deciding to end their partnership by mutual consent.
Ansarifard joined AEK in the summer of 2020 and scored a total of 20 goals but the Greek side coach Matias Almeyda did not have him in his plans and decided to end the collaboration with him.
“We (Omonia) announce the agreement in principle with the 32-year-old international Iranian central striker, Karim Ansarifard, who in recent years has been playing for AEK Athens,” the Cypriot team said.
