Persepolis Moves Top of IPL Table
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team defeated Sanat Naft 2-0 on Wednesday to move top of the Iran Professional League (IPL).
Dutch forward Jurgen Locadia opened the scoring for Persepolis in the 27th minute in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Sanat Naft midfielder Meysam Tohidast scored an own goal with 10 minutes remaining.
A total of 500 female fans also attended the match at the stadium.
Elsewhere, Foolad edged Sepahan in Isfahan courtesy of Ayanda Patosi’s late goal.
Tractor was held to a 0-0 draw against Havadar in Tabriz and Mes Rafsanjan and Aluminum shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
Persepolis moved top of the table with eight points out of four matches.
