Iran Coach Shamsaei Expects Tough Match against Vietnam

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national futsal team coach Vahid Shamsaei says that the match against Vietnam will be tough and challenging.

Team Melli is scheduled to meet the East Asian team Tuesday night in the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup knockout stage.

“Everyone knows Iran’s attacking capabilities, but we’re good in defense,” Shamsaei said.

“The knockout stage is a fight between life and death,” said Shamsaee. “If you win you advance to the next stage, and if you lose, you return home. I respect Vietnam’s coach Diego, he’s an Argentinian winning coach. We will try our best to win the match.

“This will be a match between two different playstyles. Iran is hungry to score goals and Vietnam will be good in defense. Both teams will surely do their own analysis, so I think it’s going to be a good match for spectators around the world.

“All 24 goals we scored are finished, and the match against Vietnam is another game. It will definitely be a tough and challenging game for us, but we are hungry for the win,” Shamsaei concluded.
