In separate messages on Friday, the Iranian president offered his congratulations to the leaders and people of Islamic countries on the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
"The life of the Great Prophet (PBUH) is the highest example of perfection and the highest example of morals and valuable human qualities, like a lamp that gives light and is the guide of the turbulent path of mankind in the current world,” Raisi said.
"I hope that with the blessing of these blessed days and relying on the common determination, will and faith of all the Muslims of the world, we will witness even more unity and solidarity among the Islamic Ummah and the promotion of Islam all over the world," he added.
The 17th day of the month of Rabi al-Awwal in the lunar Hijri calendar marks the birth anniversaries of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS), the sixth Shiite Imam. This year it fell on Friday, October 14.
