Top General Warns of Iran’s Response to Shiraz Terror Attack

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s highest-ranking commander cautioned all those who masterminded and perpetrated the fatal terrorist attack on the holy shrine of Shah-e Cheragh in the southern city of Shiraz that they will soon receive punishment.

In a statement on Thursday, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri said the fatal shooting attack that has killed at least 15 Iranians in Shiraz has taken place against the backdrop of the “hazy atmosphere of the sedition designed and commanded by the ominous Hebrew-Arabic-Western triangle”.

The top commander warned all domestic and foreign elements who have masterminded and perpetrated the brutal crime that they will soon receive punishment for their heinous act in an ambush set by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s law enforcement, security and intelligence forces.

Major General Baqeri also reminded the deceived people and rioters that they are undoubtedly an accomplice in the horrific crime, cautioning that the security, calm and lives of Iranians are the red lines for the Armed Forces.

In a separate message, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami strongly condemned the terrible crime in Shiraz.

The IRGC chief also pledged that the flames of the prudent Iranian nation’s wrath and revenge will engulf the enemies, whose recent plots for riots and chaos in Iran have been thwarted.

At least 15 people have been killed and 19 others injured in the shooting attack, claimed by the Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorist group.
