Iran finished the initial pool stage undefeated as it had defeated Iraq and Kazakhstan earlier.
The men’s and women’s competitions started on Friday in Bosnia and Herzegovina's capital Sarajevo and will run until November 11.
The 16 participating teams are divided into four pools for the preliminary phase of the competition.
