Iran Ready for Fair Deal in JCPOA Talks: President

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Reiterating Iran’s readiness to strike a fair agreement in the talks on the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal, President Ebrahim Raisi deplored the hypocritical attitude of certain regional and international parties as their messages about interaction contradict their actions.

In a meeting with Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi, held in Tehran on Saturday, Raisi emphasized Iran’s readiness to reach a fair agreement in the JCPOA talks, saying, "Some regional and international parties are regularly sending the message of cooperation and interaction through intermediaries, but in the field of action, their behavior is different from their words. This hypocrisy will definitely make them regret it."

He also hailed the deep-rooted and strong ties between Tehran and Muscat, and added, "Despite the wishes of the enemies, these relations are developing day by day, and positive steps have been taken in recent months for the implementation of agreements between the two countries."

Raisi stated that today the enmities of the domination system, led by the United States, against the Iranian nation are not hidden from anyone, and clarified, "The anger and enmity of the Americans against the progress of the Iranian nation have always continued and failed in the past four decades, but the Americans do not learn from their failures."

For his part, the Omani minister appreciated the principled positions of Iran towards regional and international issues, and especially the approach of President Raisi in strengthening regional relations and cooperation, saying, "Oman's relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are exemplary compared to other countries and we want the continuation and development of these relations in different fields."

He also voiced support for the positions and approach of Iran in the sanctions lifting negotiations and stated, "We believe that Iran's steady step and honest behavior will bear fruit."
