Iran has been drawn in Group A along with host South Korea, India, Uzbekistan and Australia.
Group B consists of Japan, Kazakhstan, Thailand, China and Hong Kong.
The 2022 Asian Women's Handball Championship will be the 19th edition of the Asian Women's Handball Championship. It will take place from November 24 to December 4 in South Korea.
The tournament will be held under the aegis of the Asian Handball Federation and acts as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2023 World Women's Handball Championship, with the top five teams qualifying.
