"On December 9, 2022, a meeting of the heads of the defense ministries of the SCO member states and the CIS member states will be held in Moscow,” the Defense Ministry of Belarus said on Thursday.
“In accordance with the agenda, the parties will exchange views on international and regional security issues, further strengthen cooperation in the field of defense, and discuss issues of mutual interest," it added, Sputnik reported.
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu had in August suggested the idea of holding a joint meeting of defense ministers from the SCO and CIS members and other friendly countries in order to discuss security matters.
