Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian held a telephone conversation with his Belgian counterpart Hadja Lahbib on Monday.
The two senior diplomats discussed issues of mutual interest in the phone call.
Amirabdollahian and Lahbib expressed hope that the bilateral ties between Tehran and Brussels would develop in light of joint efforts and cooperation.
They also discussed the latest state of consular cooperation between Iran and Belgium.
In a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo in May 2022, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi expressed support for the efforts to broaden relations between Tehran and Brussels.
Highlighting the suitable grounds and capacities for the promotion of cooperation, Raisi said exploiting the potential capacities in the bilateral ties would pave the way for closer cooperation between the two countries.
