Ansarifard Scores As Omonoia Advances to Cypriot Cup Semis
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Omonoia advanced to the semifinal round of the Cypriot Cup thanks to a 2-0 win over APOEL Wednesday night.
Omonoia had lost 2-1 in the home match last week and qualified for the semifinals thanks to a 3-2 win on aggregate.
Karim Ansarifard opened the scoring for the visiting team in the 12th minute and Roman Bezus made it 2-0 in the extra time from the penalty spot.
The 2022–23 Cypriot Cup is the 81st edition of the Cypriot Cup.
It began in October 2022 with the first round and will conclude in May 2023 with the final.
The winner of the Cup will qualify for the 2023–24 Europa Conference League second qualifying round.
