Iran is one of the 19 countries that has participated in the 11th Security, Defense and Military Industries Exhibition of Iraq, known as IQDEX 2023, held in Baghdad.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the event, Iranian Defense Minister’s Deputy for International Affairs General Hamze Qalandari said Iran is prepared to strengthen the Iraqi armed forces by providing weapons and offering help in military industries.
Unlike the other participants in the exhibition, Iran is not seeking arms trade alone, but intends to share its knowledge and technical know-how in defense industries with Iraq, he added.
The general also lauded Iranian local experts for making great headways in the aerospace industry under the heavy pressure of sanctions, saying the models of a series of Iranian helicopters, airplanes and drones have been put on display in the exhibition.
