Iran to Play Uzbekistan at 2023 Asian Water Polo C’ship QFs
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated the Philippines 25-5 in the 2023 Asian Water Polo Championship on Friday and will meet Uzbekistan in the quarterfinal round on Saturday.
Iran had defeated Hong Kong in its opening match and also emerged victorious over Kazakhstan in Group B.
Group A consists of China, Uzbekistan, Singapore and Thailand.
The 2023 Asian Water Polo Championship is taking place from March 22 to 27 in Singapore.
It is the Asian continental qualification for the 2023 FINA Men's Water Polo World Cup.
