Iran Exports 75 Million Tons of Goods to Neighbors

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran has exported over 75 million tons of products to 15 neighboring countries in the previous Iranian calendar year -March 20, 2022 until March 20, 2023.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said the export of goods to the neighboring states registered a 15% growth in the one-year period, noting that the highest amount of growth of non-oil exports, both in terms of weight and value, related to trade with Saudi Arabia.

The value of Iran’s trade exchange with Saudi Arabia considerably jumped from March 21, 2022 to March 20, 2023, it added.

The total weight of non-oil exports and imports in trade with 15 neighboring states in the previous Iranian year stood at over 96 million tons, valued at $58.8 billion.

IRICA also reported that Iran’s exports to the neighboring states showed a 14.5% growth last year, which ended on March 20.

Iran has exported non-oil products (excluding electricity, crude oil, kerosene and fuel oil) to 15 neighboring countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

The value of Iran’s non-oil exports in the previous Iranian year has risen by 19.5 percent compared to a year before.
