The 55-year-old coach has previously coached Greek teams Panathinaikos, Homenetmen Antelias and Olympiacos.
She will start her job in Team Melli Banovan on May 10.
Kapogianni will be the Iranian women basketball team's first ever foreign coach.
She will guide the Iranian female squad in the Asian B2 Division Championship in Thailand in August.
